Island Jeep Safari with Natural Pool & Lunch

About this experience

This is ABC's long day out, and the most-reviewed jeep tour on the island. You meet at the Schotlandstraat office at 7:45, the trucks roll at exactly 8:30, and guests report getting back around 4:30. In between you cover more than any half-day tour can: an hour at the Natural Pool, an hour at Baby Beach, Fontein Cave, the Natural Bridge site, the Bushiribana gold mill ruins, Alto Vista Chapel and the California Lighthouse, with a drive past Wariruri Beach.

Most stops are short. The lighthouse, chapel, ruins, cave and bridge site get about 15 minutes each, enough for photos and a story from the guide, not for a long wander. The two long stops are the water ones. Lunch is a homemade BBQ, and the guides are the reason for the reviews: guests request JD, Ivo and others by name.

The price is $139, and like ABC's half-day trip it adds $25 per person at check-in for Arikok, so plan on $164 an adult. Bring your own towel (it's on the not-included list). The ride is rough and lasts all day, which rules out bad backs and pregnancy. The pool is weather-dependent like every other: when the waves break over the rim, rangers close it for swimming. Carnival cruise passengers can't book, and other cruise guests need to be at the office by 7:45.

What guests say

★★★★★

From the lighthouse, to caves, to swimming. It’s all packed into this full day excursion. Be ready to explore, walk, climb, and get wet. Warning: it’s an extremely bumpy ride. Do not book if this bothers you. We loved riding in the jeep with the wind blowing in our faces and listening to good music.

Our tour started promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 4:30 p.m. Ivo is incredibly knowledgeable about Aruba’s history [...] He was funny, patient, and made everyone feel comfortable. He even switched between English and Spanish to ensure everyone felt included.
