Local operator · Oranjestad cruise port
A 4-door Jeep Wrangler hardtop for up to five people, picked up across the road from the Oranjestad cruise terminal for an 8-hour day. Pick it if you want your own route and pace, and you're happy to drive a rough track yourself.

This is the do-it-yourself option. Walk out of the cruise terminal's main gate, turn left towards the CITGO station, cross the road and look for the line of jeeps by the car wash. You get a 4-door Wrangler hardtop with air conditioning for 8 hours and a run-through of the map and terrain before you set off. Guests describe new, clean jeeps and a map of recommended stops.
The price is $280 per vehicle, so it gets cheaper per head as you fill the seats. Five people pay $56 each before extras, which beats any guided tour. The extras: gas, a $500 security deposit on a credit card, optional collision damage cover at the counter, and a $15 charge the listing shows at checkout. And the park pass, which you buy yourself at the Arikok gate: $22 per adult, free under 17, at San Fuego (8:00 to 3:30) or Vader Piet (9:00 to 3:00), per the Aruba Conservation Foundation.
Can you drive to the Natural Pool? With a 4x4, yes: UTVs and ATVs are banned in Arikok, jeeps are not. De Palm's FAQ describes the last stretch to the pool as about a mile each way of track that "requires you to drive very carefully". The park rules set a 20 km/h limit and keep you on marked roads. Rangers can close the pool for swimming when the waves come over, and there is no guide to tell you which turn to take. Ask about off-road cover before you leave the lot.
Across from the cruise port gate, by the CITGO station and car wash. Guests report pickup between 8 and 10.
License, the $500 card deposit, the CDW decision and a run-through of the terrain.
Buy the park pass at San Fuego, then take the track to Conchi slowly. Keep to 20 km/h in the park.
Baby Beach, the Natural Bridge site, the California Lighthouse or the north coast.
Refuel first: gas isn't included. Cruise guests should check all-aboard time.
★★★★★We really wanted to rent a 4x4 to drive around the island and especially to visit the National Park and Natural Pool (highly recommended) [...] Jeep was great and we loved off roading in the park and on the north side of the island.
★★★★★We had a 14 hour port call in Aruba and this was totally worth it to see the entire island. [...] We used the entire 8 hour rental window and we were able to go to Baby Beach, Natural Bridge, California Lighthouse, and other attractions around the entire island.
★★★★★Very easy to get to from cruise port. 2 minute walk to office across the street. Jeep was nice and clean. Employees were very nice and helpful! Definitely would rent again next time!
★★★★★Brand New 4x4 jeeps that are immaculate. Easy pickup just outside cruise port gate. Pickup is available 8-10, drop off by 530pm. Would rent from again
